Plastiwin is the cluster of the plastics industry in Wallonia. Its main mission is to strengthen the economic, technical and commercial potential of its members.

Our cluster is accredited and supported by the Government of the Walloon Region.

Research, innovation, business development, training and sustainable development are at the heart of our concerns.

The plastics industry in Wallonia

The plastics industry is an important sector in Wallonia. It represents over 250 companies, highly specialized - and counts more than 19,000 employees and a revenue of 5.6 billion euro.

Who is involved?

The cluster Plastiwin includes industries which get expertize in the plastic industry. It is a network of professional expertise to professionals.

Its members are companies, as well as research centers, laboratories, schools, training centers and industry organizations. Plastiwin companies cover the entire value chain of the plastics industry.

It gathers in fact three main types of actors:

• Upstream of the chain, the manufacturers of materials (polymers, compounds, masterbatches, dyes, additives ...)
• Processors that produce finished or semi-finished products. Processing activities are the primary injection, extrusion, blow molding, thermoforming ... In the secondary processing activities are found machining, cutting, bending, surface treatment ...
• Providers of expertise: tool makers, mould makers, engineering and design offices, manufacturers of processing machinery, research centers and university laboratories.
